Positive: Staff, especially in the dining room, are great. Very friendly, very helpful, very kind, understanding of my limited Italian and many eager to practice their English. Dining Room Manager was outstanding. They can't help it that the coffee put out by those machines is really bad. I have had that same experience all over Italy. I am sure it was much better in the bar. I had great service for drinks before and after dinner in there. Very friendly staff there too. Food is served buffet-style and is wholesome, typical Italian home-style cooking, well prepared and there is plenty of it with a great variety. Decent house wines on tap and you help yourself.

Negative: I arrived at the train station expecting to find the normal taxi queue outside. In fact, an AI chatbot assured me it was so. It is not. There are no taxis at the train station. If you want a taxi you need to arrange for it in advance. I called the hotel to ask them for advice. They suggested I walk. They neglected to tell me there was a free shuttle bus service provided by the village that dropped me practically at their front door. I found out about that from the lady at the cafe / tabacchi in the train station. It is a short walk from there to the bus stop. Persons with limited mobility might find parts of the hotel - especially from the entrance / reception area into the main buildings - to be a challenge. There are stairs. It is also a family hotel. There are a lot of children around and they make themselves heard. Note: This facility was built for a winter Olympiad. The rooms do not have air conditioning.
